The Bagel Station is the closest you’ll get to a New York bagel in Winston-Salem. Its bagels are soft and doughy and hands-down the best in the city. There are two bagel station locations, both offering a variety of freshly made bagels, spreads, and sandwich combinations.

BLL Rotisserie Factory
BLL Rotisserie Factory makes the best rotisserie chicken, following Italian cooking traditions. What makes it so good is the freshness, tenderness, and flavorful spices and herbs. They have many menu items, but we highly recommend you try the rotisserie chicken!

Bobo’s Deli is a New York-inspired deli on Robinhood Road. They offer an expansive menu of salads, sandwiches, wraps, and burgers. The food is delicious, and the portions are large, giving you a good bang for your buck!

The Carving Board
The Carving Board is a Winston-Salem favorite for sandwiches and salads. They can make just about any sandwich you can imagine. Most salads, including pasta, potato, spinach, and fruit, are always available. They offer two soups daily (their tomato basil soup is the best).

Dioli’s Italian Market
This Italian Deli is legit! Dioli’s is a ‘mom and pop’ family business serving the best Italian sandwiches and desserts. Dioli’s food quality is top-notch, from the bread to the meats.

- Classic Italian Hero (Molinari dry salami, mortadella, and prosciutto cotton with aged provolone, red onion, arugula, and mayo on a ciabatta roll)

Grecian Corner
The Grecian Corner is a long-standing restaurant and serves some of the best Greek food in Winston-Salem. It’s a unique, quaint little spot next to Baptist Hospital. Their menu has all the traditional Greek staples, like Greek salad, gyros, chicken souvlaki, tzatziki sauce, and baklava. They also serve sandwiches, pizza, and pasta.

Murphy’s Lunch
Murphy’s is a cafeteria-style lunch and breakfast spot in downtown Winston-Salem. Their hot bar serves comfort food that changes daily and is always delicious. P.B.’s Takeout
P.B.’s is a humble, cash-only dive serving classic burgers and hot dogs. They do it right with buttered and toasted buns. A North Carolinian would encourage you to order your burger and hot dog “all the way.”

Timmy’s Hot Chicken
Timmy’s Hot Chicken makes the most delicious fried chicken sandwich in Winston-Salem. Here, you can get tenders, thighs, wings, sandwiches, and chicken and waffles. Unlike Nashville hot chicken’s traditional spicy oil, Timmy coats their chicken with a fiery and flavorful dry rub. You can choose your spice level, anywhere from medium to hellfire.

Yamas has two locations in Winston-Salem where you can build your Mediterranean concept or choose from one of their menu items. To build your own, you’ll first select your base—a pita sandwich, grain bowl, salad bowl, or 1/2 grain + 1/2 salad bowl. Then, you’ll top it with your selection of protein, dips, toppings, and sauces.

Village Juice
Village Juice is excellent for something healthy, light, and veggie-centric. They offer fresh-pressed juices, smoothies, wraps, salads, açaí bowls, and toast with toppings. It’s real food, loaded with fresh ingredients. It’s pricier, especially if you add pressed juice to your meal, but it’s a fair deal for what you get.
