The Ramkat, previously known as Ziggys, an NC live music staple since the 90s, has been the premier music venue in Winston Salem since moving to its Trade Street Location in 2011. The Ramkat has two levels, the first of which is mostly standing room with the exception of a vip area and the upstairs holds numerous tables, overlooking the main stage, should you choose to reserve one for your party. With 11,670 square feet of space and a 1,000-person-capacity, the Ramkat has been known to host everything from loud and vibrant rock and roll performances, packed wall to wall, to extremely intimate seated shows where one might hear a pin drop.
Also, attached to the Ramkat, with its own entrance and separate space upstairs is its sister venue and bar, the Gas Hill Drinking Room. This space is utilized for slightly smaller shows and events and has an intimate atmosphere.
